Greetings! I was fortunate to grow up amid the breathtaking mountains of West Virginia, where the air is crisp, and the landscape is a vivid tapestry of greenery, wildlife, and natural beauty. It was during those formative years that I discovered my deep-seated love for art, finding solace in creative expression whenever I had a moment free from the demands of daily life. After years spent in this enchanting environment, my husband and I relocated to the sun-drenched shores of Florida. Following two decades in the fulfilling yet structured realm of secretarial work, I stepped into a new chapter of my life—retirement. At the age of 55, spurred on by the encouragement of loved ones, I bravely embraced a new adventure: pursuing my passion for art at the Academy of Art University in California. Completing my studies led me on a transformative journey to uncover my artistic voice. Like many artists, my visual language has undergone a remarkable evolution as I seek to enhance my ability to communicate through my work. A pivotal moment came when my niece requested a series of animal paintings for my great-nephew's room. His delighted reaction to my creations illuminated a profound connection between us, a bond that I now cherish deeply. This joy expanded beyond my family as I recognized the importance of fostering connections between art and the natural world.

My artistry is dedicated to conveying empathy for the diverse creatures that share our planet, many of whom are under threat from habitat destruction and extinction.
